Available since RSpace 2.23; for legacy instructions, please see the section below. The bespoke JoVE integration was removed in RSpace 1.123/2.23, you can now link to JoVE using the following functionality, which doesn't require any extra configuration.

We support embedding videos from these sites:

  • YouTube
  • JoVE
  • TIB AV-Portal

To embed video content in the document editor, follow the instructions below:

  1. In the document editor, click on Insert -> Video, or click on the Video button on the toolbar.
  2. In the dialog that pops up, paste in the URL of the video, and click Insert.

Embedding video Content from YouTube (legacy instructions)

Between RSpace Version 1.73.3 and 2.22.0, please follow these instructions for embedding videos

  1. In YouTube, choose the video that you want to embed, and click 'Share':
  2. Choose 'Embed' from the set of sharing options:
  3. Copy the embed code:
  4. Paste the content you just copied into an RSpace text field. Save the document, and it will be playable - that's it!
